 | | Mrs. Alekhine: <TheFocus> Excellent work on your contributions so far, I'm adding them in now, though my page is not all layed out yet. I have a suggestion: Include the dates in your intros? For example: Game Collection: 1923 Alekhine - Muffang Match <1923 Alekhine - Muffang Match

Muffang 0 0 0

Something like that. I have all the dates in my metacollection, but many people will come to your collections by other means, and I think they should have access to the full dates? Also will you please give me your opinion on formatting? How does it look at the moment, with a full space between the text and then the games collection? Game Collection: Alekhine Matches Collection (complete list) <8. <Match with N. Grigoriev, Moscow March 1921> +2 =5 -0Game Collection: 1921 - Alekhine - Grigoriev Match

What about double spacing with division markers?

 | | Phony Benoni: <Mrs. A> I have no problem doing crosstables. Once the historical tournament page is created and all the data standardized, I can usually generate one in a few minutes, most of which is formatting. As far as intros go, you can do any you want as far as I'm concerned. You've seen the extensive intros I'm capable of perpetrating, but those come from studying the tournament deeply while compiling the collection. A few well-chosen sentences are something I find much more difficult. |
 |
Dec-06-12
 | | Mrs. Alekhine: Thanks, it sounds like you can construct them faster than I can. I will do my best on <London 1932>, but of course you or any other admin can alter or add to any intros I write if they think it improves the Tournament Page. |

<LilFocus> sounds like he is hungry, and you know how teenagers like to eat. |

 | | Mrs. Alekhine: <TheFocus> Yes, please separate the Teichmann match into two, if only because that's what SkinHoeven do. Maybe provide an internal link one to the other in each collection. Thanks for feedback, I think you are correct, so I'll do it that way. It's too bad that long hyperlinks make it impossible (in most cases) to have the Hyperlink on the bottom line by itself without making an extra space. |

Game Collection: 1908 Alekhine - Bardeleben Match Game Collection: 1908 Alekhine - Blumenfeld Match Game Collection: 1908 Alekhine - Nenarokov Match Game Collection: 1913 Alekhine - Levitsky Match Game Collection: 1913 Alekhine - Lasker, Ed. Match Game Collection: 1913 Capablanca - Alekhine Match Game Collection: 1916 Alekhine - Evenson Match Game Collection: 1920 Alekhine - Pavlov-Pyanov Match If there are any corrections or alterations you think I should do in the intros, drop me a message in my Forum. I will follow up on them as soon as possible. I have a half day seminar tomorrow and begin physical therapy in the afternoon. I don't think I will be online this weekend except to check for messages and vote on Historical Pages. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of your MetaCollections! It has been a real pleasure. |

 | | crawfb5: Speaking of works in progress, I was looking through <American Chess Bulletin> for 1915 and they give a Triberg crosstable that looks like this: Bogoljubov XX =1 =1 =1 11 1= 8
Rabinovich =0 XX 10 =1 10 11 6
Selezniev =0 01 XX 0= 11 11 6
Flamberg =0 =0 1= XX 01 11 5.5
Maljutin 00 01 00 10 XX 10 3
Wainstein 0= 00 00 00 01 XX 1.5
I guess this is now Triberg C? |

 | | TheFocus: <Mrs. Alekhine> In regards to the two missing games of Alexander's frrom Game Collection: 1935 - Warsaw Olympiad (Alekhine's Games), the Gruenfeld - Alekhine game has been found and was published in <Quarterly for Chess History> 2006. It does not appear in Lynyrd Skynerd's book (1998). |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Big> nice find- No need to call it <C> though, since it's in a different year. That's one of the <Internee Tournaments> as you probably already know. <TheFocus> brilliant! Dr. Fiala strikes again. |

 | | TheFocus: Yes. I would have posted the game-score here today, but... the new PC computer I work on at home is not compatible with this old Mac. I did the work at home, put it on a flash drive, and brought it here. It doesn't open up. I usually don't have any problems like that. Looks like I will have to get Internet at home. It was a 20+ move Queen's Indian.
I will post it here tomorrow and submit it. |
