But let us look at the facts here:
Anand is the world champion. but he barely beat Gelfand who performs pretty poorly these days in tournaments.

Mysteriod: drnooo, giri is good no doubt about it. You might be refering to when carlsen blundered and giri beat carlsen as black. But that is insignificant, at giri's age carlsen had a higher rating, and now if you look at tournament results, carlsen is doing much better.
