   May-16-13 Kramnik vs Ivanchuk, 1997

Pacificknight: This is the last time Kramnik won with White vs Ivanchuk in a classical time control game.

   Feb-04-13 Sax vs Sadler, 1997

Pacificknight: From what I can dig up, this was the end of Sadler's 10 game winning streak with the black pieces. Sadler won six games with black at the Olympiad of 1996 in Yerevan, Armenia. Then Sadler won four games with black at the European Team Championship in 1997.

   Nov-14-11 K Darga vs M Steinbacher, 1988 (replies)

Pacificknight: What was the exact date for this Darga-Steinbacher game? Was this the stem game for 3...Nd4 or was the first game Andersson-Ljubojevic?

Nov-14-11 Ulf Andersson vs Ljubojevic, 1988 (replies)

Pacificknight: Is this the first time 3...Nd4 was ever played?

   Mar-29-11 Vladimir Belikov

Pacificknight: Belikov is a personal friend of Kramnik and accompanied him to Wijk aan Zee one year.

   Mar-07-11 A Khruschiov vs Sveshnikov, 2008

Pacificknight: I heard that Evgeni Sveshnikov has turned against his own variation and thinks it is bad. Is that true? Was this draw arranged to mock the variation?

Jun-03-09 Konstantinopolsky vs Kholmov, 1950 (replies)

Pacificknight: Is this gamescore correct? 20 Qg6 does not seem right.

   May-31-09 B Grachev vs A Shibaev, 2002

Pacificknight: 18 Bb5, 22 Nf7, and 30 Be5 are some nice tactics. I am used to the QGD Exchange Variation involving more maneuvering and not so much fun tactics. Grachev found some exciting moves.

Jan-19-08 Kramnik vs Aronian, 2008 (replies)

Pacificknight: Besides 77...Re2 which draws, Aronian could have played 77...Kxh6 with a tablebase draw. The same opportunity occured with 79...Kxh6. I realize it is harsh to compare a player to the tablebases, but maybe Aronian's knowledge of rook endings is shaky. He had a chance to reduce ...

   Dec-30-07 Leko vs Karjakin, 2004

Pacificknight: Is this an as yet nameless variation of Ruy Lopez? It is a mixture of Moller and Arkangel but the bishop goes to g4 instead of b7.
