I'm from Venezuela and I was born in Caracas, D.C, on 21 April 1980. I'm Mechanical Engineer from Central University of Venezuela (World Heritage Site) and an Associated professor of my University. My hobbies are: Baseball (our official game and the only country in South America at respect, I also played this sport until Amateur class A), Chess (my grand father was National Champion in 1940), Math (I'm an active member in PlanetMath.Org, where we assist all the world's people in all levels), Cosmology and Domino.    Jan-19-17 D Andreikin vs R Rapport, 2017 (replies)

Pedro Fernandez: Oh my great friend <OCF>, just it was 200 chessbucks! It was not that easy this pick-three. Cheers!

Jan-19-17 Eljanov vs Aronian, 2017 (replies)

Pedro Fernandez: My feelings in this game always were in favor of Aronian, and that is why I did bet at the Bookie the pick three: Black-White-draw. So now I just need Rapport makes the draw (not so easy but I have some chance). This pick three pays a fortune! Hopefully I'm lucky.

   Jan-17-17 B Adhiban vs Eljanov, 2017 (replies)

Pedro Fernandez: An elegant shot by Eljanov. I saw a larger solution.

Jan-17-17 Carlsen vs Wei Yi, 2017 (replies)

Pedro Fernandez: Where can I see that interview <Mateo>? Thanks!

   Jan-15-17 Tata Steel (2017) (replies)

Pedro Fernandez: << ketchuplover>: I thought math(s) was the universal language :)> Lol! You're right! However, who knows about math? That's the question my friend.

   Jan-15-17 Carlsen vs R Wojtaszek, 2017 (replies)

Pedro Fernandez: As I said yesterday, Carlsen should be a bit aggressive vs the GM Wojtaszek. A great vctory from Carlsen!

Jan-08-17 H Rossetto vs Rodolfo Cardoso, 1958 (replies)

Pedro Fernandez: I saw 40.Bd5 (blocking black e6-pawn and threatening eventually Bxe6+), but 40...exd5? opening the e-row to the couple white rooks? I didn't analyze that move.

Jan-06-17 World Rapid Championship (2016) (replies)

Pedro Fernandez: <<5hrsolver>: Congrats to Vassily Ivanchuk. Well done. It seems like rapids is a great equalizer for young and old.> That it was an impressive (and unexpected!) performance by ``Chucky'' <5hrsolver>, don't you?. Hmm..., maybe you are ``1minsolver''! ...

   Jan-06-17 Hastings Masters (2016/17) (2016) (replies)

Pedro Fernandez: << Richard Taylor>: I beat Bobby Cheng once. He was only 10 but still pretty strong. Also another game was a draw. He then moved to Australia from NZ. He beat me in Rapid games. I remember the simul when Short said he and Harry Ruan were very strong for their ...

Jan-05-17 Uhlmann vs Kholmov, 1960 (replies)

Pedro Fernandez: << kevin86>: The sharp queen sac leads to a quick win> And <Kevin>, take the queen is practically unique, since 26.Kg1, 26...Nf3+ is mortal!
