The opinions expressed on this forum are not intended by me, and must not be understood by you, as legal advice. Legal advice for your specific situation can only be given by a lawyer who has reviewed all of the facts and circumstances that apply to you, and who has deposited a substantial amount of your hard-earned money in his bank account. Any person who believes that he or she is receiving legal advice in a short posting on an Internet forum is mistaken, and is taking an unreasonable risk. Any person who believes that kind of malarkey and also knows that the alleged lawyer is an admitted chess player, may be subject to involuntary commitment in his or her state. Your results may vary; some parts are edible; never stand on the top step.

RonB52734: After a little poking around, I was able to confirm that the time control for this game was 40 moves in 90 minutes, followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game, with an increment of 30 seconds per move from move one. I suppose it's entirely possible (although by no means ...

   Nov-26-15 Petrini vs Schneider, 1990
RonB52734: I just played this exact game (with the black pieces) against a fellow at work. I have twice previously had younger players try white's ill-fated attack against me in tournament games. I knew I had seen it before, probably in "Traps and Zaps," and knowing that there was a decisive

  Honza Cervenka: Hi RonB52734,

I don’t know whether you have read my recent messages at Kibitzer’s Café or not and so I am posting it here too. On Monday of last week I have become proud father of (the second) daughter named Aneta. You can see her picture on the site of regional newspaper “Kladensky denik” (Kladno’s Daily) at where is just now till this Friday (12:00 A.M. CET) running a polling contest for the most sympathetic baby born last week in regional maternity hospitals organized by the newspaper. Personally I am not much interested in such a kind of competitions but my wife likes it very much and she would be much happy to see our little girl on the top. We are on the first place in very tense and close race with another contender and so every additional vote is very important for the final outcome. If you would like to help me to make my wife even happier than she already is now, just click on the link above, flag “Aneta Cervenkova, Stredokluky” (the first name in gray box on the right side on the screen) and hit the “hlasovat” button below. It is possible to vote repeatedly always after 60 minutes from one IP address... :-D

Thanks and warm regards, Honza

  WannaBe: Any opinions on this, counselor??

Premium Chessgames Member
  RonB52734: My first opinion is that your link is broken (I think it has an extra zero in it). I presume you're talking about the Williams doping/injunction case.

I'm not a labor lawyer and I don't know what the NLRA or the Minnesota labor statute say. I suppose it's entirely possible that all of the following are true:

(a) the NFL collective bargaining agreement says "we can do 'X' about doping";

(b) Minnesota's labor law says "it shall be illegal to agree to do 'X' about doping"; and

(c) the NLRA does not cover that issue at all, and therefore leaves that issue up to each individual state to decide.

It's pretty clear that (a) and (b) are true. The crux of the case is whether (c) is true. I don't know. I suspect (c) is false, but the courts so far have not agreed with me.

In any event, Congress needs to change (c) to make it false. What seems to me to be the unanswerable argument is that you cannot have a national sports league if one state gets to set some special law that gives its teams an advantage. (Example: what if Pennsylvania passed a law that said it shall be legal for pro hockey players to trip, slash and high-stick?)

I do not know if the building/house in which the drive way, the car was parked, and hence, a private place, or if it neeeded to be a private place to be counted as invasion of private property.

The Ninth have always been seen/known as very liberal, it is the circuit with the most over-turned cases...

I have posted the same article on <keypusher>'s forum.
