I have been playing tournament chess since 1970 and the game itself since 1958. I am current rated 1772 USCF although I have been as high as 1861 when I played regularly. I have a chess web site called www.chesscountry.com where I write articles and book reviews aimed at players who wish to improve their game.
SilverRook2000: Are you the Marty Appleberry that used to be friends with Alan Kobernaut many long years ago? When Alan moved to Chicago he played with us at the Park Forest Chess Club and he used to mention you frequently.
