Sleeping kitten
Member since Jun-27-06 · Last seen Jan-16-18
I am a French student, I was born in 1985. My favourite players are Rubinstein, Capablanca, Alekhine, Nimzowitsch, Keres, Smyslov, Tal, Petrosian, Spassky, Fischer and Karpov but I have great admiration for all the past masters. I am not a very good chess player and cats are my best friends.

Apr-07-17 Akobian vs Caruana, 2017 (replies)
Sleeping kitten: Who is aware Caruana has just thrown the game away?
Oct-30-16 Carlsen vs Nakamura, 2016 (replies)
Sleeping kitten: 13. ♗f4 makes the Black position a complete disaster (13...♗d6 14. a5!). Just look at his dreadful situation after the seventeenth move! Nakamura deserves credit for having survived this with much help from his opponent, of course.
   Sep-11-16 D Solak vs Carlsen, 2016 (replies)
Sleeping kitten: I surmise that when White played 11.a4 b4 12.♘a2, he hoped to later move his knight to b3 via c1, in order to press the a5 pawn, as in the game Petrosian vs Unzicker, 1960 . This idea proved slow and ineffective against direct threats in the center.
Jun-18-16 Nakamura vs Carlsen, 2016 (replies)
Sleeping kitten: Nakamura have already won rapid and blitz games against Carlsen.
   Feb-07-16 Short vs E Kharous, 2016 (replies)
Sleeping kitten: What a massacre.

Sleeping kitten: Caruana vs Aronian, 2014
   Mar-29-15 A Haida vs Nimzowitsch, 1925
Sleeping kitten: 52... a2 59. ♔f6 a1=♕+ 60. ♔xf7 ♕h8 would set a last trap : 61. ♘f6 loses. White must play 61. ♔g6, 62. ♘h6, 63. ♘f7 and Black king is just a square too far to win.
Feb-19-15 Zurich Chess Challenge (Rapid) (2015) (replies)
Sleeping kitten: Now Carlsen is first on 2700chess in every column: classic, blitz and rapid.
   Sep-13-14 Nakamura vs Karjakin, 2004
Sleeping kitten: 46...♔e6, intending to play on conjugate squares (g3 with f6, e3 with e5, f3 with d5, f2 with e6, g2 with e5, etc.) loses against 47. ♔f3 ♔d5 48. ♔g3 ♔c4 49. h4 gxh4+ 50. ♔h3! etc. By the way, doesn't 46. ♔f3 win too, in the same ...
   Sep-03-14 Sinquefield Cup (2014) (replies)
