   Aug-27-08 Ivanchuk vs Kamsky, 2006

StarJock: Well, it's now Aug.2008 and there's no doubt now that Kamsky has recovered his form! He won the 2007 World Cup and is one match away from playing for the World Championship in 2009! He's ranked 17th worldwide in the FIDE July 2008 list, with a rating of 2723. Ivanchuk has been busy

   Jun-26-08 Topalov vs Shirov, 2003

StarJock: Shirov's downfall was 33...Nc5. This allowed Topalev's Queen to go to d2 with a double attack on the Knight and Rook, while gaining the diagonal to h6 square, where Topalev's three pieces harass the King. Better was 33...Nf8 so the Knight can come to the aide of it's King.

   Jun-15-08 Irina Krush (replies)

StarJock: Irina and Anna are both excellent chessplayers and do the USA proud as our representatives in the universe of world chess. They are both young and will both go on and continue to improve and play even better chess. I look forward to seeing their future games played with normal ...

   Jun-14-08 Dolmatov vs Yusupov, 1991

StarJock: The final 10 moves by White is a good example of how to win and Endgame with a pawn advantage and a timely Bishop Sacrifice.

   Jun-14-08 Karjakin vs V B Malinin, 2002 (replies)

StarJock: Good example of how to attack the Castled King! It seems like Black's development was inferior due to the early Queen sortie; hence White harassed the Queen as he developed pieces for the attack. Black could have refused taking the sac pieces, but would still have lost ...

   Jun-14-08 Anna Zatonskih (replies)

StarJock: Both Anna and Irina are excellent chess players. Both have a tremendous fighting spirit and play with integrity. They should not have been subjected to an Armageddon style time control for the deciding match. It is undignified and should not be used in Championship matches. The ...

   Feb-22-06 Hana Itkis (replies)

StarJock: I wish Hana the best of luck at the 2006-U.S.Championship being played in San Diego, California next month. I saw you at the U.S.Open in Phoenix last year and hope to see you in San Diego !
