Taxman: Looking at 54.Rh6+

Oct-13-19 Caruana vs Wang Hao, 2019 (replies)

Taxman: My initial impression is that the white pawn on d4 is a serious weakness.

Oct-12-19 Shirov vs Caruana, 2019 (replies)

Taxman: doesn't work: 55...Kh6 56.Qh3+ Qh5 57.Qe3+ Rg5. Worth checking though.

Oct-10-19 Carlsen vs Kuzubov, 2019 (replies)

Taxman: I'm looking at Black playing ...c4 - c3!?

   Aug-27-19 I Nepomniachtchi vs M Vachier-Lagrave, 2019 (replies)

Taxman: En tout cas, je pense que le joueur francais va remporter cette partie assez facilement...

   Aug-20-19 Anand vs W So, 2019 (replies)

Taxman: A random line I'm looking at here is: 25.g3 R x f1+ 26.Kxf1 Qb1+ 27.Kg2 Qe4+ 28.Qxe4 f x e4 29. N x d6 c x d6 30.f3 e x f3 31.K x f3 Kg6 32.Ke4 Kf6 33.Kd5 Ke7 34.Kc6 followed by 35.d5, with a winning pawn ending..?!? Probably not best play though.....

   Aug-18-19 I Nepomniachtchi vs Anand, 2019 (replies)

Taxman: Just put it on the computer which points out that 79.a6 is a clearer way to reach a theoretically drawn K+R+N .v. K+R ending.

Jul-27-19 Paulsen vs Morphy, 1857 (replies)

Taxman: Computer analysis indicates that 23....Be4+ is mate in 4. Somewhat irrelevant in a practical sense - I agree that finding and checking the winning line in 12 minutes is amazing.

   Jul-21-19 R Wojtaszek vs L Dominguez, 2019 (replies)

Taxman: Black's king position is terrible.

   Jul-07-19 Carlsen vs M Vachier-Lagrave, 2019 (replies)

Taxman: So we may see ....Kh7 fairly soon.
