   Feb-24-18 Magnus Carlsen

The Boomerang: "Once we are speculating....if Fide chess WCs had followed its "normal" course, I believe Karpov would never be world champion...Fischer would have beaten him at least for ten years...and than Kasparov would emerge..." They followed normal course alright, its just that Fischer

   Feb-22-18 Carlsen vs W So, 2018

The Boomerang: Fantastic play from Carlsen!

   Feb-22-18 Wesley So (replies)

The Boomerang: "I think they're methodically and realistically assessing Wesley's progress as a World Championship-caliber chess player, and will actually try to go for it ONLY IF they're totally convinced that Wesley is ready to challenge and beat Magnus Carlsen, who we assume is still ...

   Feb-19-18 Robert James Fischer (replies)

The Boomerang: 'Fischer was so far ahead of chess in the 1970's it does seem social media in 2018 is still coming to terms with this lol lol lol' Yep so far ahead he didnt even need to defend his title to be considered the greatest! Magical indeed! All future GM's take note!

   Jan-29-18 D Howell vs I Saric, 2018 (replies)

The Boomerang: Saric was winning until the QA3 blunder.

   Jan-28-18 Tata Steel (2018) (replies)

The Boomerang: "players of caliber of Tal, Petrosian, Spassky, Botvinnik, Smyslov, Geller, Keres etc. with whom Fischer fought for 20 years. T" Karpov was better than all those players. Check out chessmetrics, gives Karpov the 2nd most dominant player of all time only after Kasparov. In ...

   Jan-27-18 Chess.com Speed Chess Championship (2017/18)

The Boomerang: "Wesley and Magnus tied in blitz. Each won a fowl for their troubles...so I submit that for the sum of any integer and it's opposite is equal to zilch...even steven..." Tutti you forget to mention the score in the first 2 blitz sections. Carlsen demoliahes So in the 5'2 while ...

Jan-24-18 Steinitz - Zukertort World Championship Match (1886)

The Boomerang: It would have been close, Karpov may very well have stopped Fischer, atleast thats what Nigel Short thinks.

   Jan-15-18 Viswanathan Anand (replies)

The Boomerang: Great game to beat Caruana! Congrats!

Dec-25-17 Karpov - Spassky Candidates Semifinal (1974) (replies)

The Boomerang: You'de right Petrosianic, Spassky played much better 11-21. It's like Spassky calmed down and his real strength came out. If you look at the score for the second half its 2-1 wins for Fischer. I think Karpov would have been a handful for Bobby in the 1975 match.
