   Jun-19-18 E Perelshteyn vs B Finegold, 2009 (replies)
The17thPawn: <Marmot PFL> - Agreed. Finegold carried on like he was up against a club player rather than a fellow GM.
   Jun-19-18 J Salomon vs M Vachier-Lagrave, 2017 (replies)
The17thPawn: Got caught up in 29...,Nf6. Defends the discovered check and threatens Ne4. But after 30.Rf4 I was stuck.
Jun-11-18 Max Weiss vs Blackburne, 1883
The17thPawn: Blackeburne out endgames the mighty Weiss with well timed triangulation. I'll never believe this guy was merely a tactician. He could grind out a win against some of the strongest of his day.
   Jun-05-18 Wade vs Kieninger, 1949
The17thPawn: Hard to tell precisely where Wade went wrong in this one. Perhaps a multitude of small mistakes led to whites demise.
   Jun-05-18 Kieninger vs K Richter, 1933
The17thPawn: Center Counter Defense from Richter? Seems like suicidal dreck at this level.
   Jun-04-18 J Soto Vega vs S Shankland, 2018 (replies)
The17thPawn: Shankland is really experiencing a stretch of great form these past months. I was not expecting a mating net composed of knight, rook and king at move 57. with two minors a piece and a rook each to materialize so readily. Great use of the Power of the King by Shankland.
Jun-02-18 Ju Wenjun vs Tan Zhongyi, 2018
The17thPawn: <goodevans> Thanks for the variation.
Jun-02-18 Denker vs Botvinnik, 1945 (replies)
The17thPawn: <ChessHigherCat> Thanks for the reply. But given the 14 move variation for white you provided,I'm not surprised I didn't see it.
   May-07-18 A Prange vs E H E van Woelderen, 1886
The17thPawn: <Whiteshark> Agreed. That line looks like it should yield white another pawn. But a decisive advantage is hard to find.
May-05-18 Morphy vs Anderssen, 1858 (replies)
The17thPawn: The length of the string is probably dependent upon its origins. Unless you are talking string theory, then who the hell knows. But seriously <Domdaniel> who makes the point as an annotator to state ,"instructive position", and then makes no effort to show what else might ...
