The17thPawn: Always loved to see the Z man in action but that big vein running down his forehead when he's concentrating looks uber intimidating. It's like watching Arnold flex during his competition days:)

The17thPawn: Correspondence or not its still impressive for a player rated below expert level. Of course he may have had access to the 1917 game listed above.

The17thPawn: 19...e5 seems much to optimistic by Adams. I'm fairly certain he fears a b5 advance by white but this seems the wrong way to go about fighting that threat.

The17thPawn: <Davegras> - I like the deferred capture and the way the pawn recapture takes another square from the king but 33...,Rb7 protects the rook and keeps the Q out of blacks second rank. 34.Qc6+,Ke7 allows perpetual but Black is by no means lost due to the H rook protecting the

The17thPawn: Then Rxg7 and March the pawn using the black king for support on white squares once 68...,Ke4 is played. Haven't found a save here for white either. White gives up material however I go about it.

The17thPawn: I also did'nt see 21...Rxb2+ as suggested by <chessmoron>. I must commend him on that line as it seems nearly as forceful as the game continuation.

The17thPawn: <Kevin 86> - 42.Kg4 in your line is not obligatory. The king can go to e5 as well. Of course this does not save White but its better than mate in three.

The17thPawn: <Fisheremon> - Thanks for the enlightenment. Leave it to me to hang a queen with my proposed line of play.

The17thPawn: <GBKnight> - Great suggestion! I can't find a way for Black to break through after 56.Rh8! I think you found the saving move.
