Troglodyte: That's pretty sleezy of the future FIDE president.

Apr-29-07 Kramnik vs Leko, 2007 (replies)

Troglodyte: Equalized? Black has a substantial advantage, Leko should've played on.

   Apr-24-07 Henrique Mecking (replies)

Troglodyte: He is there, but I think you need to select the <Longer list of players on homepage> option in your preferences.

   Apr-24-07 Portisch vs Dreev, 2007

Troglodyte: It takes a cold heart to say no to a 70-year-old man, and there's the respect factor of course. It's not like Dreev is doing charity here, Lajos is a legendary player. But I bet Dreev was looking forward to having a good game with him.. It's a pity.

Troglodyte: <King Obvious> Yea, I play at GameKnot. But I primarily play at schemingmind.com. I have the same name on both. If you are interested in a game, I can only play at schemingmind as my limited games at gameknot are reserved for team games. And Schemingmind is 100 times better

   Apr-24-07 Karpov vs Hecht, 1973

Troglodyte: The Nh4-f4 maneuver is instructive. Superficially it seems anti-positional but Karpov has a concrete plan.

Troglodyte: From <TommyC>'s link: [DIAGRAM] "Steve Stoyko had this position in a game against Tigran Petrosian in a simultaneous exhibition. All of the other games had concluded in victories for the former champion, and so he was seated in a chair across from Steve for the remainder ...

Apr-21-07 Petrosian vs Bronstein, 1956 (replies)

Troglodyte: I remember reading somewhere, I think Seirawan said it, that Petrosian used so much energy analysing positions more deeply than his opponents that he would once in a while have such collapses in exhaustion, where he overlooked something obvious.

   Apr-19-07 I Saren vs Karpov, 1972 (replies)

Troglodyte: Amazing play by Karpov. 25. e5 brings White's whole position crashing down. If 27.fxe5 Rxe5 28.Qd4 <28.Qd3 Bb6+ 29.Nd4 Rxc3> 28...Rxe2 29.Nxe2 Qf3

   Apr-18-07 Garry Kasparov (replies)

Troglodyte: Wouldn't make much sense for them to keep the lyrics...
