Uncanny: <mysql: And another question, why doesn't Hou Yifan seem to have an individual interview in the AAI site?> Players aren't exactly excited to give interviews when they are continually losing games

   Dec-22-10 Santa Claus (replies)

Uncanny: Dear Santa Why do you come only once a year?

   Nov-06-10 Magnus Carlsen (replies)

Uncanny: Let's move on. He doesn't want it, he won't get it. Let him realize how much the world cares about no 1 and how much they care about the championship. And if he loses his no 1 rating, i dare say that the realization will dawn sooner. Incorrect decision

Oct-04-10 Kramnik vs Shirov, 2010 (replies)

Uncanny: <notyetagm: Kramnik vs Shirov, 2010 Game Collection: COMPLETING THE PINNING CHAIN IS A TACTICAL TARGE 24 Qf3-b3! attacks undef b6-pawn and pins f7-pawn to g8-king> Dude, are you sure your craze for game collections is not reaching too far? 999 game collections (50 pages ...

   Oct-03-10 Chess Olympiad (2010) (replies)

Uncanny: Kramnik wasn't as unknown in 1992 as some think. If i remember correctly, he came from one of the Botvinnik school's, was seen as a super talent there, and i think Kasparov lobbied to have Kramnik included in the Olympiad team in 1992.

   Sep-26-10 Hikaru Nakamura (replies)

Uncanny: What's the difference between Topalov and Nakamura's playing styles?

   Sep-26-10 R Wojtaszek vs Van Wely, 2010

Uncanny: I think the key error was van Wely's 39.Bg1. Instead, Bb2 would have saved it for him.

   Sep-25-10 Nigel Short (replies)

Uncanny: Who can guess which opening Chucky, Magnus and Short will play? They play almost anything.

Sep-24-10 Jobava vs Carlsen, 2010 (replies)

Uncanny: <Jafar219: Pefidious, i mean using computer during game to find best moves.Carlsen does it, he is cheater.> Well, thats funny. Why did he lose then? Did his 'computer' run out of battery or was there some software glitch?

   Sep-11-10 Kenneth S Rogoff (replies)

Uncanny: <<loss of competitive edge due to years of labor inflation> <OCF> Disagree greatly. Productivity has skyrocketed in the past 20 years and wages are far behind. On a personal level, I made more money 20 years ago than I did last year. My situation is hardly unique.>
