   Nov-01-03 J A Congdon vs E Delmar, 1880 (replies)

WhyDevelop: Pretty easy. Interesting though.

   Oct-21-03 B Katalymov vs G Ilivitsky, 1959 (replies)

WhyDevelop: I believe you are calling this "Polish opening" incorrectly. As far as I know, this is the Sokolski or Orangutang opening. The Polish defense is played after 1.d4 b5. The most commom continuation is 2. e4 a6, reaching the exact same position as in the famous game between Karpov ...

Jun-11-03 Keres vs Mecking, 1972 (replies)

WhyDevelop: Great manouver by Keres. But I wonder what would happen if Mecking had played 25. ...Qd7 or 25. ...Bg7 instead of Qd8. We all know Keres has an advanced passed pawn and black's king is not playing, but I am talking just about this tactic move.

   Jun-01-03 Z Gyimesi vs E Kahn, 1995 (replies)

WhyDevelop: Ok, that's what I was missing. I was dreaming on winning the Rook on h1 if 7.f3, but that's not possible anymore. Thank you bishop.

May-29-03 J Bauer vs Von Walter, 1890 (replies)

WhyDevelop: Wouldn't 10. ...Ne5 solve all blacks problems?

   May-29-03 W T Pierce vs W Nash, 1885 (replies)

WhyDevelop: It seems Black has not payed attention to development. Too many Queen and Knight moves.
