   Jun-04-14 Z Varga vs S Kustar, 1993

bharat123: I tried in G T M 23.Nc8 with the idea of 23..Qxe6 24.Rd8+ mate follows. Nc8 works on move 24 also. Look better than the text. Is it not?

bharat123: Check this game. Z Varga vs S Kustar, 1993 I tried in G T M 23.Nc8 with the idea of 23..Qxe6 24.Rd8+ mate follows. Nc8 works on move 24 also. Look better than the text.

   Mar-23-14 N Davies vs F Rayner, 1994

bharat123: White committed a horrible blunder on move 20.Kh2?? Rxb2 21.Qxb2 Ng4+ wins Queen for Rook. How did black miss it.

   Mar-20-14 V Knorre vs G Neumann, 1864 (replies)

bharat123: 23.Bxe5 Bxe5 24.Rxe5 wins a piece. If black proceeds 24..Qxe5 then 25.Rd8+ wins Queen for rook if black plays 25.Rxd8, and wins whole rook If black plays 25..Ka7 26.Qxe5 Rxe5 27.Rxg8.

   Mar-05-14 Benko vs Fischer, 1960

bharat123: beatgiant: <bharat123> Black defends with 23. Nf4 <Qf6> to answer either 24. Nxe6 or 24. Nh5 with <24...Qxh6>, or 24. Bxg7 Qxf4. White would still win only the exchange, as far as I can see. Yes You are right. I missed Qxh6.

   Feb-02-14 L Stumpers vs Euwe, 1946

bharat123: Finding 26..Nd4!! is not difficult when you are in puzzle mode. But Euwe found it over the board! Great. But how did he miss 30..Ng3.

   Dec-14-13 Kasparov vs L Evers, 1988

bharat123: 16..Qc5 or 16..Qb6 17.Na4 winning the Night for free.

   Dec-05-13 Z Almasi vs W Watson, 1994

bharat123: <FSR>: <bharat123> You're right; that is also crushing. Incidentally, in the game continuation 34.Rxf7, White also had to consider 34...Qd4+, when his quickest win is 35.Qxd4 cxd4 36.Rxf8+! Kxf8 37.b4! I found 34.Qe7 while trying 'Guess the Move' tool. It looks better ...

bharat123: Z Almasi vs W Watson, 1994 Z Almasi Vs W Watson 1994 It is true that 34.Rxf7 is a great combination. But simple 34.Qe7 threatening Qxf8+ followed by Rd8 mate has no answer.
