I live at Manila, Philippines. I play chess purely for fun though I would like to play competitively if I had the chance or time. Since I have no tournament history I am not rated. i estimate it to be around 1800.

I play chess against the computer and my college buddies. My favorite openings for white are Ruy Lopez, Queen's Gambit Declined and Queen's pawn game. For black I usually go with Sicilian defense, Gurenfeld and Two Knight's Defense. My favorite player is Mikhail Tal, though I concede that the best ever is Kasparov. My other favorites are Bobby Fischer, Paul Morphy Jose Raul Capablanca, Eugenio Torre and Anatoly Karpov.

bluealchemist: big difference. if 23Rxe5, dxe5 24Rxd8, Qxd8 and black has the advantage. the rook pair is quite potent here, making the Q-sac the ultimate white-wins-everything sacrifice.

bluealchemist: nice game. the gueen's gambit provided good cover for the two bishops. 18. ... d4! was the pivotal point. everything was in place for black's final assault.
