   Jan-23-12 L Bruzon vs Timman, 2012

boringplayer: A good example of trading advantages. White finally achieves the good knight vs bishop position, but trades it away to create a K-side weakness that causes no end of difficulties for black.

Dec-04-09 Furman vs Keres, 1948 (replies)

boringplayer: A nice game, with a pleasant combo. I think Furman was Spassky's coach for some years.

   Sep-07-09 H Mueller vs O Bernstein, 1934 (replies)

boringplayer: Jason Frost, moving the rook to the h-file allows the K to cross the e-file after ..Nf4+. I don't think the knight gets away, but giving it up for a pawn leaves R+3 pawns for 2 knights, still winning.

   Jul-27-09 W Fairhurst vs Menchik, 1935 (replies)

boringplayer: I had a roommate who was fond of saying that the only 100% guaranteed way to lose was to resign. He played every game all the way out. I, on the other hand, was fond of giving it up when the end seemed clear and unavoidable. Personal preference.

Jul-24-09 Bogoljubov vs Alekhine, 1929 (replies)

boringplayer: "When i have white, I win because I have white. When I have black, I win because I am Bogoljubov."

   Jul-15-09 P Scheeren vs Speelman, 1983 (replies)

boringplayer: I believe just capturing with 48. hg4 also wins.

Dec-26-08 Epishin vs Gheorghiu, 1993 (replies)

boringplayer: Al Wazir, I too pondered 28...Bg5, but think that after 29.Nd7, 29...Qd7 is ok. If 30. Nf5+, then 30...Qf5

   Dec-17-08 P Charbonneau vs H A Hussein Al-Ali, 2008 (replies)

boringplayer: So what happens after 14.Kd1 Qf5 15.Bd6 Qg6 16.Qg6 fg6 17.Bd8 Kd8 18.Ne6 ? What am I missing here?

Dec-16-08 Nimzowitsch vs Systemsson, 1927 (replies)

boringplayer: OMG! This is wicked funny. I had never seen it before, and just had to play it over again tonight. What a great job by Kmoch!

   Nov-21-08 Sveshnikov vs A Kveinys, 1996 (replies)

boringplayer: hi folks, after 29.Bc6 bc6, i liked 30. Bf4. if 30...Be5, then 31.Be5 Qe5 32.Qd8+ Kg7 and 33.e7. if instead 31....Qe7 32.Qd7 Bf8 33.Bd6 looks winning. This seem right?
