carelessfills: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/08/25/b... <Kenneth Rogoff has long warned of a potential financial crisis in China. Mr. Rogoff, a professor of economics at Harvard University, accurately predicted the eurozone debt crisis and for years has been telling anyone who would listen ...

carelessfills: <GoldenKnight: <Pedro Fernandez: <<zsoydd>>> "more unique" is another good one. Unique means one of a kind - so what is "more unique" than one of a kind?

carelessfills: While White would be in zugswang after exhausting his pawn moves after 24...Rxd2 25 Rxd2 Rd1 26 Rd1 c5, Black can actually accelerate White's demise with his own Pawn storm, since White will not be able to prevent c6 after a5 and b4.

carelessfills: It's one thing for the team not to offer a draw, after all there are lots of people with varying viewpoints and agendas and it might be hard to agree. But if GMA offers it, a concensus should be much easier to reach, since I think he would want to play on a little for the ...

carelessfills: Interesting defelection for clearance of e7 square to allow discovered checkmate after a pawn move. I wonder if this has ever been demonstrated in a two move composition problem before!?

Jan-28-11 The World vs N Pogonina, 2010 (replies)

carelessfills: It is somewhat amusing that after Black set up her imposing Rook/Queen battery, her only subsequent piece moves were to move the Rook back to a4 and then rectangulate over to f4 sacrifice it at f2 for the perpetual!
