Nov-22-14 Carlsen vs Anand, 2014 (replies)
chancho: It is in these type of situations where Carlsen tends to step on the gas pedal. Winning this game means retaining his championship. Anand (of course) will fight tooth and nail to the very last, and that's to be expected, but the great players can overcome the resistance when it ...

chancho: I wouldn't mind being a player in the Nigel Short mold. (and I suspect that sentiment ranges far and wide.) Alas, reality reminds me quite often that's not gonna happen. :-)

Nov-20-14  you vs yourself: Hello <chancho>! How have you been? Miss this site. Couldn't stay away for too long haha
Premium Chessgames Member
  chancho: <you vs yourself> I'm doing alright.

Thanks for asking.

Definitely good to see you around.

Nov-20-14  you vs yourself: I see that the hilarious <jackmandoo> is kibitzing again. But I also see many active kibitzers who aren't active anymore like <acirce>, <iron maiden> etc.
Premium Chessgames Member
chancho: <PercyBlakeney> was insulted by some schmoe back in 2011 and he disappeared.

<Open Defence> went on a long hiatus from the site.

Reappeared for a day or two when this match started then disappeared again.

<acirce> gone, <IronMaiden> gone.

Those were great kibitzers on this site.

AJ got banned.

Nov-20-14  you vs yourself: That's a shame. I always enjoyed <PercyBlakeney>'s kibitzing. Hope all these guys and girls are doing well in life (hopefully still lurking and one day will reappear).
