hello. former chess prodigy here....well not quite....but I played in many tournaments during my youth and let me tell you was all stressful! But also a lot of fun!...I realize that chess is a game of skill...doesn't matter if you practice 100years you will need the skill otherwise you'll never advance past 'patzer'...so don't listen to them trainers telling you they can take any normal person amd make them a gm!....they want your money!...I've known lazy players who made it to IM without any help! so anyway...where was I..oh yeah.. I so got sick of chess so instead pursued a carear in medicine and these days don't spend much time at the board.....but watch out I'm still very good at the blitz!

cousinIT: The modern type of hedgehog is cool...I've got no objections against it since them b5 or d5 breaks make it quite dynamic. Kasparov, Karpov...and Suba! have used them set ups in aggresive ways. The opening I was talking about is an 'old' type of hedgehog with no breaks ...

cousinIT: hmm...I was looking for a game between Matnadze and Azmaiparashvili but didn't find any. Was wondering weather they would agree to a 'chums' quick draw. I have heard a rumour about them clashing on ICC before though..... (at chess)

cousinIT: Well done Krasenkow!!!!! Knocking a player of Short's caliber out of the World championship is something Kadhi, Hameed Mansour Ali and maybe some others could not achieve.....You are indeed a champ!!

cousinIT: you can't have a petrov talk without the cochrane gambit debate coming up..eg: 3.Nxe5 d6 4.Nxf7!!??...is it sound? Does it work? can black survive? Topalov played it a few years ago in a serious game Topalov vs Kramnik, 1999
