dfelix: Chess Abilities = Carlsen? I didn't know that Chess Abilities was posing for G-Star ads.

   Jun-10-11 Ponomariov vs Gelfand, 2008

dfelix: Great game by Ponomarioff.

dfelix: <PokerPro> 11...Na7 12.dxe5 Nxe4 13.Qf4 forking e4 and f7 (or just 12...dxe5 13 Qxd8 Kxd8 14 Nxe5).

   Jan-09-11 L Kritz vs N Firman, 2007 (replies)

dfelix: <Phony Benoni> Nice catch! After playing through the solution my first thought was that 16..Bxg5 looked like it should hold.

Dec-09-10 McShane vs Carlsen, 2010 (replies)

dfelix: Brilliant game by McShane. You have to love the way he caps off the carnage with the obstructive 31.Bc6 and 32.Nd7. Magnus really gets his nose rubbed in his own development problems here.

dfelix: <JohnBoy> Black was probably trying to figure out what to do against the Rg6+ threat. 26...Bxe3+ lures the white queen further away from g6, but it still doesn't hold.

dfelix: Isn't 10.Qf3 just winning?

   Mar-13-09 King's Indian, Samisch Variation (E80) (replies)

dfelix: Chris Ward's book is a great resource in this opening, and I used to fear the KI before I learned to play a decent Saemisch. I think it's been over two years since I lost the white side of a Saemisch when black plays ..e5. The ..c5 variation is definitely a better option for black, ...

   Jan-08-09 Anikaev vs A Khasin, 1990 (replies)

dfelix: 21...Qf7! Impressive. I won't soon forget this one.

   Dec-07-08 Kasparov vs X3D Fritz, 2003 (replies)

dfelix: I remember watching this game live on ESPN. Maurice Ashley was one of the commentators, and at one point he said something like "The computer thinks it has an advantage. That's just retarded."
