my favorite players are Mieses and Nimzovitch. I like the chess era of the Victorian and later Edwardian Period of the years before WWI. My rating ranges between 1350 and 1450. Full Member

   Jun-11-17 Steinitz vs F Burden, 1862 (replies)
dorsnikov: I am in total amazement of how an "Also Ran " like Burden just cleaned Steinitz's clock, as they say! Simply amazing !
   May-26-16 D Duhm vs A Duhm, 1900 (replies)
dorsnikov: Duhm da duhm dhum , Duhm da duhm duhm ... DHUM !! Opening music from 1950's Dragnet show.
   Jan-21-16 K Klaman vs Chistiakov, 1949 (replies)
dorsnikov: If that puzzle was of "medium" difficulty, then I'm Bobby Fisher !
   Dec-31-15 Bruce Pandolfini (replies)
dorsnikov: He's nothing but a modern day Fred Reinfeld. Turn out meaningless book after book to make a quick buck !
   Aug-15-15 F Amonatov vs V K Matta, 2014 (replies)
dorsnikov: Why Matta, who had the dynamic vision to put that series of moves together, isn't a world champion contender, I'll never know ??!!
Aug-05-15 Judit Polgar vs M Yilmaz, 2014 (replies)
dorsnikov: Medium, easy ?? I'd call it more "moderate difficult." It goes to show "Dynamic Vision' is the key to good chess.
   Mar-25-15 Z Kovacs vs Remlinger, 1955 (replies)
dorsnikov: If that was a medium/easy problem, then I'm Bobby Fisher? And of course we all know the truth of that ?
Dec-05-14 Tartakower vs Capablanca, 1924 (replies)
dorsnikov: Does anyone have an exact score of Capa vs. Tartakower games ?
Oct-02-14 Judit Polgar vs Szendrei, 1984 (replies)
dorsnikov: I agree with Al Wazir. B-h6 is also a winner !
   May-23-14 Weaver Warren Adams (replies)
dorsnikov: I have an original copy of Weaver's "Simple Chess." It was given to me by an old timer who bought it at one of Weaver's demonstrations in the late 1940's.
