fish1800: Just looking with my no computer assisted eye it looks like 21....gxf5 works out better. One line :22 Qxf5 + Rg6(any other move ends in mate)23.Bxc6 where white ends up a pawn up with a better position but black isn't completely lost.

fish1800: If you have MCO 15th edition this game is referenced with the incorrect 19th move of ...Nf6 instead of ....Nb6.

| | Feb-11-07 Dzindzichashvili vs Karpov, 1988
| |
|
fish1800: I tried 18...Nd7 against Hoopdream's suggestion in an e-mail game of 18. Rh3 and hung on after 19. h5 g5. The game ended in a draw. I later checked with Shredder which did give white an advantage but no clear win. At any rate Hoopdreams move may be stronger than what was played.
