Can you believe that someone could be literally unable to get up from bed in the morning, only in the afternoon? Such was my fate for most of 20 tears until Oct 2, 2003, when apparently the worst of my MS went in remission. Now I like collecting rare books and learning a thing or two about chess.

Mar-09-17 Joel Benjamin vs Yermolinsky, 1991 (replies)

gerbly: 44.. f5? Really?

Feb-09-17 Spielmann vs Duras, 1908 (replies)

gerbly: Heh, quite the jitterbug ending..

   Dec-26-16 A Sliwicka vs R Rapport, 2012 (replies)

gerbly: What would have come next, 28.. Rg8?

Dec-17-16 Zsuzsa Polgar vs Pachman, 1985 (replies)

gerbly: I suppose that if 20. Ng6 then .. hg6, 21. Rg6+ Kf7 22. Rg7+ Ke6 escaping by the 'front door', but then what about e4?

   Jul-10-16 Morozevich vs Gulko, 1995

gerbly: I suppose that 14.. f5 would have been too risky?

   Jul-09-16 Korchnoi vs Morozevich, 1994

gerbly: Black's 11th commences a new opening which might be called "King's knight declined", but definitely at Moro's expense.

   Jul-09-16 Morozevich vs Korchnoi, 1994

gerbly: Looks equal after 25 turns..

   Dec-06-15 A Planinc vs Minic, 1965

gerbly: Nothing wrong with 16. Bh6 to force 16... Nf3+.

   Dec-06-15 I Buljovcic vs A Planinc, 1965

gerbly: This game proves that 15... Nc6 was better. e5 gets embarrassing for Black without a fight.

   Dec-04-15 A Planinc vs V Tukmakov, 1965

gerbly: Is it surprising that Planinc did not try 20. Rxg7? At least it would not lose a tempo rerouting the rook.
