   Jan-27-16 P Mangroelal vs G Solis, 2008

goommba88: this is a reason y 1.Nc3 is not very popular OVB in games above 2300 elo. I play 1.Nc3 quite a bit but dont particulary like the 1.Nc3 d5 2.e4 d4 3.NCE2 lines much. I will usually just settle for a veresov opening after 1..d5 the lines with Nd3 lead some strange positions ...

   Dec-12-14 I Nepomniachtchi vs Karjakin, 2014 (replies)

goommba88: I could be wrong here, but Karjkin could be the highest rated player ever (2770) to ever lose against this, with black in a classical time control

   May-13-14 US Championship (2014) (replies)

goommba88: US champ. rd5 Kamsky pessimistic i dont really think Kamsky should really be upset with himself too much. He has had 3 blacks after all, and 1&1/2 with white is nothing too upset about. The important thing will be a strong finish

Apr-14-14 Carlsen vs Anand, 2013 (replies)

goommba88: Well, its pretty clear from this thread that richard taylor is a moron

   Apr-10-14 Kosteniuk vs T Kosintseva, 2014

goommba88: I for the life of me do not understand why in gm play, white plays that Ng5 line with white. black just needs to make a few accurate defensive moves and he invariably gets the better game> nice win for kosteniuk. later

   Apr-07-14 A Chernobay vs Kamsky, 2014 (replies)

goommba88: still very early on, no real reason to press the issue with black. later

Apr-03-14 Anand - Carlsen World Championship (2013) (replies)

goommba88: hopefully anand dumps e4 for the upcoming match. his score, with white mind you after e4.. 2 draws 1 loss. later goommba88

   Mar-19-14 Queen's Pawn Game (A40)

goommba88: this comment for mr.schiller/ or acirce has anyone taken a serious look at the line 5..Qc5!? after (1.d4 e5 2.dxe5 Nc6 3.Nf3 Qe7 4.Bf4 Qb4+ 5.Bd2) ? my engine seems to think that it is playable although white still keeps an advantage ( a couple of sample lines would be 6.Be3 [to

Jun-25-12 Russian Chess Championships Higher League (Women) (2012) (replies)

goommba88: Natalia, How does it feel to be the hottest chessplayer on the planet!?

May-14-12 Anand - Gelfand World Chess Championship (2012) (replies)

goommba88: In my opinion Anand is basically freerolling in this short match, if it comes down to being tied at game 10, even if the match comes down to tie- breaks anand cannot lose, even if Gelfand wins the tie break games he will not be reconised as world champion simply because
