   Oct-09-14 D Andreikin vs Caruana, 2014 (replies)

govind: White looks better.IF I remember correctly Andre has a scalp of Carlsen too

Nov-18-13 Anand vs Carlsen, 2013 (replies)

govind: Though it looks drawish, it is precisely in such positions Carlsen has won.It is surprising how early Carlsen is able to equalise with black and grind his opponent.A more imaginative play by white was required if he was to win.

Nov-08-13 Kasparov vs Anand, 1991 (replies)

govind: If we consider all four matches between kasporov and karpov the score is only +1 in favour of kasparov. That is not domination.

Nov-08-13 Anand - Carlsen World Championship (2013) (replies)

govind: As anywhere else nothing gets better with age.Carlsen will win.

May-21-13 Sultan Khan vs Capablanca, 1930 (replies)

govind: Sultan khan beat capa and rubenstien both in one event. I remember seeing those games.they are in different style from modern open games.a grinding effort.perhaps that was characteristic of old Indian style.

May-13-13 Karjakin vs Carlsen, 2013 (replies)

govind: h5 and bishop has nowhere to go

Mar-19-13 Carlsen vs Grischuk, 2013 (replies)

govind: there is nothing by way of compensation.

Oct-14-12 Anand vs Karjakin, 2012 (replies)

govind: A fighting game but still a draw.black is never in much trouble.some of Anand's game seem lively but it appears he is fighting for a draw.

Sep-23-12 Anand vs Kasparov, 1995 (replies)

govind: it is said that dragon gives black a better end game which led fischer to remark that before the end game there is middle game. With the exchange of queens black is clearly better.I like the clarity with which black has played the dragon.

Sep-10-12 Hort vs Keres, 1961 (replies)

govind: on 35Qxb3 why not Bc1 when re2 is not possible?
