   Apr-10-13 A Zontakh vs Morozevich, 2013 (replies)

harish22: pathetic display by white. A classic example of how to play for a draw and lose.

Mar-25-13 Kupchik vs Kashdan, 1926 (replies)

harish22: Great game. Black was never able to get going in this game. Could not even give even a check.

Mar-21-13 Li Shilong vs Wang Yue, 2006 (replies)

harish22: not sure why white was putting himself in pins. 33. Kf2 seems to have been a mistake. Ba4 was fine. Simply a blunder

Mar-01-13 Anand vs Kramnik, 2013 (replies)

harish22: Extraordinary preparation by Anand. Right from 9.Kh1. But i am puzzled by Anand's and Gelfand's losses to Caruna. do not get the point of anand's exchange sac. Also the Caruna-Gelfand game is a mystery. A 2750 + GM playing with 3 pawns vs 4 pawns on the same side, loses all 3 pawns

Feb-14-13 Caruana vs Anand, 2013 (replies)

harish22: The game exemplifies anand's strength and weakness or decline. Against an almost 2800 player he was able to hold a position that has been historically considered bad.Bad bishop, backwad d6 pawn and less space. And he held it easily. In fact it is possible that when he played Bb3 he

harish22: got that one. look one move deeper. thanks

   Oct-05-12 Bilbao Masters (2012) (replies)

harish22: Anand has been around 2700 - 2800 rating for more than 20 years. Caruna has been there for not even 20 weeks. And Carlsen for about 20 months. I am not going head over heels for Caruna. Karajkin, Radajabov, Giri there are many there. All of them have shown results and potential. ...

Oct-02-12 Wang Hao vs Topalov, 2012 (replies)

harish22: Topolov's ability to imbalance the position and still retain drawing chances are amazing. The style does not seem to work against the very elite (top5 or guys like Ivanchuck/Gelfand). But works against the other players.

   Sep-23-12 M Dutreeuw vs C Horvath, 1992 (replies)

harish22: found Qh5. However got lost in the line. 1. Qh5 gh5 2. Rg3+ Bg7. 3. Nf5 After 3. .. e5 4. Ng7 Kh8 5. Nd8 white regains material. But a win does not seem in sight.

Sep-19-12 S Celis vs Hoang Nam Nguyen, 2009 (replies)

harish22: agree with the fact that 19.e4/20 ed5 is bad. white exchanges his good bishop (g2) for black's bad bishop (a8). He also has allows his other bishop (g5) to be exchanged, thereby allowing black's strong bishop (g7) to get more powerful. White was counting on his centralized queen ...
