Jul-08-18 Averkin vs Balashov, 1974 (replies)
jinkinson: How is white supposed to win after 30...Kg8?
   May-15-18 Alexey Kim (replies)
jinkinson: Wikipedia article on Kim just created:
   May-02-18 Reti vs Breyer, 1913
jinkinson: I saw Rxg7+ Qxg7+ Qxe6+ but dismissed it b/c I thought that after ...Kf8 White doesn't have a win... I guess not, it's just harder than I'd expected since this is only a Wed. problem.
   May-01-18 J Lansing vs R A Hart, 1907 (replies)
jinkinson: It appears that the actual Black player here was not Ralph Hart but R A Hart (i.e. the one pointed out by <GumboGambit>):
   Apr-14-18 Francis Burden (replies)
jinkinson: The description says that Burden was 51 when he died; he was actually 52.
   Apr-01-18 A Pomar Salamanca vs Alekhine, 1945
jinkinson: <MissScarlett> Oh yeah, he was world champion from 1937 until he died. You're right, I was wrong.
Apr-01-18 Duras vs Maroczy, 1906 (replies)
jinkinson: I suspect Maroczy actually resigned in a drawn position here, weirdly enough. This book (link: page 63) says that that's exactly what appears to have happened in this game.
   Mar-21-18 Pokorna vs N Gaprindashvili, 2003 (replies)
jinkinson: Yup, computer analysis confirms that Bf4+ is White's best move by far in the final position. BTW Bxg7+ not only doesn't win, it gives Black the advantage, no matter what move white plays next.
   Mar-21-18 Karjakin vs D Frolyanov, 2013 (replies)
jinkinson: I got it pretty quick for a Wed.
   Feb-08-18 Charousek vs J Wollner, 1893
jinkinson: Pretty sure 19. Bxd6# should be the last move here; it seems to have been omitted by mistake.
