kingfu: Bizarre. Uhlmann and Korchnoi played each other 20 times. Not one French Defense.
   Jan-25-17 Tradewise Gibraltar (2017) (replies)
kingfu: Maybe you are right. He did pretty good at the World Rapid / Blitz tournaments which had some good prize money. The next thing for Anand that I see online is Bundesliga in February. Do the players get paid to play for the teams? I would like to know how Bundesliga works.
   Jan-25-17 Tata Steel (2017) (replies)
kingfu: Rapport is having a horrible tournament. Except he smoked Carlsen. Go figure.
   Jan-20-17 Karjakin vs B Adhiban, 2017 (replies)
kingfu: 9. a3 allows black an easy game. Be2 gives White a small plus. I thought Karjakin would try dxc5. Karjakin HAD 130 rating points on Adhiban!
   Dec-20-16 Jeremy Lim (replies)
kingfu: Average age of Spurs starting lineup is 31. Popovich is a genius coach.
   Dec-16-16 M Vachier-Lagrave vs Aronian, 2016 (replies)
kingfu: It seems at the GM level, the reply is always 3...Bc5. Is the Two Knights out of favor? The Two Knights defense is the Berlin! I hardly see the Evans Gambit at that level after 3...Bc5. Personally, I think White gets a decent attack.
Nov-12-16 Karjakin vs Carlsen, 2016 (replies)
kingfu: Maybe Karjakin should have played the Malbec variation. Yes, I know Malbec is normally from Argentina. I have had good Chilean Malbec as well. After all, Chile is right down the street from Argentina!
Nov-11-16 Nakamura vs Topalov, 2016 (replies)
kingfu: 10...Bf5 is a new move! Maybe not a bad one IF black had answered 11 Bxf8 with ...BxN check.
Nov-11-16 Carlsen vs Karjakin, 2016 (replies)
kingfu: 6.Bb5 is a new move. Sergey had to take some time on this one.
   Nov-04-16 Sergey Karjakin (replies)
kingfu: Playing matches / tournaments for these 2 BEFORE the Championship is tricky. Test your preparation in advance or wait for the match? I saw that Karjakin has played some queenside openings as white recently. And even an English! Maybe Karjakin will answer 1.e4 e5 and go for draws ...
