   Nov-28-09 Sakaev vs N Vitiugov, 2009

kingfu: Ecellent analysis and excellent avatar. That is not Lurch , it is Ted Cassidy. When I was a kid in Fort Worth , Texas , Ted was doing the Sports Report for the local news! My favorite Ted Cassidy role is in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. "Guns or knives, Butch."

kingfu: Great tournament! Much better than the blitz nonsense. Leko, Svidler AND Morozevich with NO wins for the whole tournament. Amazing.

   Nov-24-09 World Blitz Championship (2009)

kingfu: I believe blitz chess is like speed reading. You get the moves without the CONTENT. This type of chess is meaningless.

   Nov-24-09 G Guseinov vs W So, 2009 (replies)

kingfu: I think white could have done better with 14 Nc6+. That would have gained the bishop pair for white!

kingfu: Anytime an opponent wants to do the stare, the "doctor" Zoukhar, I work up a fake sneeze. Nips that garbage in the bud. Let's play chess. If the schmuck is trying to upset you with his visual "powers" then he is NOT looking at the board. How far would you go to win a game?

kingfu: There is NO substitute for freedom. You can't regulate it. You are either free or not free , Mr. Anderson. Cuba health care? AYFKM? It has been pointed out how Canada and Western Euro countries do oh so well with regulated freedom (socialism). There are more illegals in the US than ...

Nov-11-09 Max Lange vs NN, 1855 (replies)

kingfu: Interesting development for black. Queen devours white back row except the King! Black "develops" his king to the middle of the board. ALL remaining black pieces and pawns are comfortable on their original squares.

   Oct-27-09 S Shipov vs V Gagarin, 1994 (replies)

kingfu: Thank you , Chessgames! We are ALWAYS looking for the win. What happens when you try for a win in a drawn position? You get the big ZERO! I would have wanted to be there for the actual game to see the reaction of the players and the audience. Especially after 60 moves which would ...

   Oct-26-09 Nakamura vs J W de Jong, 2009

kingfu: On the surface this looks like an even game. White's bishop looks bad behind pawns on white squares. The material is even. Why did black resign? Sometimes these games are a mystery; not this one! White threatens Bxg4 followed by f5+. The white queen can go to d7 or d1, doubling up on

   Oct-22-09 J Friedel vs R Robson, 2009

kingfu: Does 19 Rc1 hold?
