laboratory62: Both players needed to win to qualify for World Cup and Timofeev tried the famous russian strategy for that situation: play strictly for a draw since move 1! It almost worked when Dragon Solak tried last cheap trick 48...Kf2, with idea 49.Rc5 Kg1 and 50.Rxg5 Rh2 checkmate!
