lalla: Well I got close. 1 Ne7 Kf8 2 Qh8 ke7 3 Ra7 Kd8 4 Ra8 Kc7 5 Q e8 and white wins. The test continuation Nxg6 is even better.

Oct-10-13 Lasker vs Rivier / Henneberger, 1919 (replies)

lalla: Why not 14...c6 directly? Why not drive away the knight

   Jul-21-13 R Domenech vs Flohr, 1935 (replies)

lalla: Why let black double his rooks on the d file? I think 18. Nf1 in order to exchange rooks on the file would have left both sides with a bishop and knight where white has nothing to fear.

Apr-17-11 Steinitz vs Sellman, 1885 (replies)

lalla: i studied this game in Reinfeld's chess mastery by answer and question. Why not 12. b4 with aim at a5 and thus making both bishops active?
