Jan-11-05 Janowski vs Marshall, 1912 (replies)

marcus13: I think the very beginning of white's problems is 7.c4? usually white play first 7.O-O 0-0 and only then 8.c4 which is one of the main line of the Petroff.

   Dec-04-04 Nakamura vs I Ibragimov, 2004 (replies)

marcus13: 4.39 -9.28

Sep-25-04 Leko vs Kramnik, 2004 (replies)

marcus13: I think I can see a winning path for black. The plan is to put na rook on f6 and white will have no more check. Withy the other you try to attack the f3 pawnand the queen has to much squares to cover.

Aug-12-04 Yao Hanchao vs Zhang Jianhua, 2001 (replies)

marcus13: Does Black know how to resign? I think we should teach him. By move 12 he is lost but continued to play for 50 moves before being checkmated.

   Aug-11-04 W Schmidt vs Y Boidman, 2000 (replies)

marcus13: Zenchess, I think you mean 5. ... Bb4. In fact this opening is dubious, but book it is call the Sicilian Counter Attack.

Aug-10-04 Nimzowitsch vs Tartakower, 1923 (replies)

marcus13: ON 24. ... Qa4 25.Bxa6 is winning. This is a nice exploitation of the pin by Nimzo. After 24.Ff1 Black has no defense against all threats and must lose material.

Jul-16-04 Piskov vs Krasenkow, 1989 (replies)

marcus13: Nice puzzle if black play the queen white has the simple 44.Qf5+ winning the rook and if 43. ... Qxf6 44.Nxf6+ wins. A good example of interference.

Jul-10-04 Kasimdzhanov vs Adams, 2004 (replies)

marcus13: 1-0 OFFICIAL!!

   Jul-10-04 S Bouaziz vs Miles, 1979 (replies)

marcus13: In Chess psychology by Angus Dunnington, he quotes 45.Kxh3 as an error and he say that the best line for black is 46.Qf1 Rg3+ 47.Kf2 Rxf3+ 48.Kxf3 Qxf1+ 49.Ke4 and Black has nothing better than a perpetual check so the title should be black to play and draw.

marcus13: A la Légal!
