   Feb-17-09 M Krysztofiak vs Kotronias, 2005

mircea88: After 8...Ne4: This is considered the main line. Wh has more space and that nice wedge, but Bk's pieces have good positions, esp. N/e5

Oct-04-07 Marshall vs Burn, 1900 (replies)

mircea88: Even so, Teschner vs Spassky, 1959 (mentioned previously), proves that it's not too late for the liberating 10...c5, the classical equalizing move in QGD. With exact play, Spassky refutes Marshall's "Pillsbury attack" and then his central break ultimately wins the game. But I'd try

Feb-25-07 Alekhine vs Bogoljubov, 1921 (replies)

mircea88: This game is thoroughly commented in Romanovsky's "Middlegame planning"-1990.

Feb-25-07 Botvinnik vs Smyslov, 1954 (replies)

mircea88: In both game 12 and game 16 of this match, Botvinnik uses the same attacking motif: advance of e and f pawns. Romanovsky (in his book "Middle game planning") discusses an older game of Alekhine where the idea was used: Alekhine-Bogolyubov 1921.
