I am a 62 year old male living in Henderson, NV. I just recently retired and will now have the time to devote to improving my chess play. I play alot of email chess on chessworld.net and on chessmaster 10th edition. My goal in chess is to improve each and everyday and to never get discouraged.
patguy54: I find myself drawn to Alekhine more and more..the skill and co-ordination of his pieces when attacking is amazing. His sacrafices are a thing of beauty and always interesting. I will learn plenty studying this Master..
patguy54: A truly beautiful game which is outlined/featured in IM Jerry Silman's book "The Amateur's Mind" I like the way Alekhine is always applying the pressure to his opponent. Very impressive !!
