reztap: If my memory is correct he played first board on the A team's in the Cleveland Toronto chess match in Feb 1975. He lost to Vukcevich. I was eighth board on that team and won because my opponent made an unsound sacrifice. The drive back was very rugged and my wife was not very happy.

reztap: This simul was in Cleveland,Ohio. Dr Euwe played over 60 of us. Mrs Ownens was a local player of class A strength.
 
   Feb-12-15 George Miller
 
reztap: George and his twin bro Harold were very strong players in the Cleveland Oh area in the late 40s and early fifties. Harold was a Ohio chess champion.
