I'm a physicist, poet, dad (not in that order), and probably would be a low expert if I ever played. I love the KID, love/hate the Pirc, and have too bloodthirsty an attitude given my attacking skiils.

   Mar-02-13 L Semenova vs M Muresan, 1983

rilkefan: Thanks, nice challenge. Took me a bit to see that Kf6/g6/g7/Rf6/Rf8/chase the rook/Rh8 wins.

   Mar-02-13 Naiditsch vs I Sokolov, 2012 (replies)

rilkefan: I had 27.Nxh7 Kxh7 28.Bxg6+, when Rd5 falls and white's structure is too much better than black's. But just 27...Rxd3/Kxh7/Bf8 and black's equal or even a bit better, though I'd enjoy playing the white side more given the black king's exposure after h4/h5.

   Mar-01-13 N Sorokin vs M Gordian, 1926 (replies)

rilkefan: Yet another wrong rook at move 14.

   Mar-01-13 T Nyback vs M Matthiesen, 2003 (replies)

rilkefan: ...Ne3... Or what <PB> said.

Feb-24-13 Topalov vs Morozevich, 1999 (replies)

rilkefan: Yep, rapid.

Feb-24-13 Van der Wiel vs F van der Vliet, 1983 (replies)

rilkefan: I didn't consider 24.Qh4.

Feb-22-13 Van der Wiel vs Sax, 1983 (replies)

rilkefan: I didn't consider ...Bf7, otherwise I'd call this an easy Friday.

   Feb-22-13 I Cheparinov vs Baklan, 2013

rilkefan: 52...Kxg5 is cute.

Feb-21-13 Yudasin vs Mikhalchishin, 1983 (replies)

rilkefan: Taking twice on f4 then Rd1-d4 (or ...e...) looks like a pleasant endgame, but I chose the game line, where white keeps queens on the board.

Feb-20-13 Miles vs Plaskett, 1983 (replies)

rilkefan: I had 18.Qc3 planned, but then looking over the game wondered why not just Ra1 immediately. But of course in that case black takes on a1 and checks on e1.
