Brisbane, Australia. rating between ELO 2000 and 2100. my favourite players are : Aljechin, probably the best in the chess history / he was one of those who created it/ , Nimzowitch,Capablanka, Fischer / the first one to beat East convincingly, Anand, Topalov, Aronian, Morozewitch and Carlsen, which doesn't mean i can play like any of them.

roninmb: Hmmmm White missed a little trick playing 33.f4. Better was 33.Qh6+ with the idea to win a pawn after 33...Kxh6 34.Nxf7+ and 35. Nxd6.

   Jul-21-12 Leko vs M Bartel, 2012

roninmb: Yes 17... NxBe3 followed by 18...Rg7 was much better. However the real culprit was 19...f6, the straw that broke the camel's back. 22...Rg7 came 2 late.

Jun-15-12 Morozevich vs Nakamura, 2012 (replies)

roninmb: 14. Qxc5 was much better than 14.dxc5. After 16... Bf3 logical move was 17. Rxg7 preventing definitively 0-0. 24...Qe8 was u blunder because 25.Rd8 instead of Qf4 would give advantage to the White. 25... f6 was weak compared to Qxc6. 35...Nd4 was better than Qe8. 38.Qc3 ...

   Apr-13-12 Svidler vs Jakovenko, 2012

roninmb: 8. Nxe5 was better than e3 / regarding Khalifman-Topalov after 8... a6 white should play 9.Da4 instead of retreating Na3./ Problems started with "active" 11.Bc7 instead of developing Bd3. 14... Bxc5 or a6 seems to be better than Qh6. After 17... Bg4 game was over!

Apr-13-12 Svidler vs Morozevich, 2012 (replies)

roninmb: Was it Friday the 13-th? Did anyone take into account the 13-th move 13. Be3 instead of Bd3 or even Qxa8?

Jan-28-12 Gelfand vs Aronian, 2012 (replies)

roninmb: @ An Englishman You just gave up your identity. Being an Englishman and having a god sense of humor there is no doubt - You must be John Cleese or Rowan Atkinson !

   Jan-28-12 Ivanchuk vs Gelfand, 2012

roninmb: @rannewman Can't agree.True 33.h3 was bad move weakening black fields, though 26.a4 was much worse. Before that white pawns a2 and c3 were equal opponents to black pawns a6b5. If white played 26.c4 it would lead to exchange and white would have a2 pawn against pawn a6 which gives ...

Jan-27-12 Carlsen vs Topalov, 2012 (replies)

roninmb: @ sambo not more existent and ulhumbrus who made a huge gap between moves 21. and 37. Engines do not appreciate 23... Bxe4??? They prefer 23... Re6!!! After a wild ride black remains better in endgame.

   Jan-24-12 Ivanchuk vs A Giri, 2012 (replies)

roninmb: Funny again. Black choose "complications" with 33...Rc7 instead of simplifying bxc6 and subsequently clearing Queen side which would be enough to equalize without any danger of losing the game.

Jan-24-12 Aronian vs Caruana, 2012 (replies)

roninmb: Hmmmm. Things aren't so simple. Looks Aronian had a decisive advantage after 25. Qxa7 but wasn't able to find the right plan to realization. It was obvious, especially between moves 30 and 40, that he was struggling to solve the black chain c5 d4 e3 problem. Though the worst move ...
