   Jan-23-18 Ju Wenjun vs N Maisuradze, 2012

sibiryak: Now playing tournaments in Wijk aan Zee, and people say how well or bad women can play in the endgame. Here is an example on this topic. Ju Wenjun missed a simple and typical win with 4 pieces on the board: 64. Kc5?=. The move and the game won: 64. Re8+! Kd3 65. Rf8 Ke4 66. Kc5!+-.

Jan-22-18 Morozevich vs Vitiugov, 2012 (replies)

sibiryak: The instructive win was missed by Morozevich: 59.a5! with the idea of 59. ... Rxa5 60. Kg6 Ra8 61. Rxb3 with a win.

   Jan-22-18 Tal vs Botvinnik, 1961

sibiryak: Botvinnik writes: "My analysis (taking the stalemate combination into account) showed that the strongest continuation was to get Black's rook to a6, as follows 90.♖f8 ♖a5 + 91.♔b3 ♖xa6 92.♖xf5 ♔d7 93.♖ f6 ♖a1 94.f5 ♖d1 ...

   Jan-22-18 Kramnik vs Grischuk, 2005

sibiryak: The error issuing the win was move 50. Kc4? Won 50. Kc3! Rd6 51. 50. Kc4! (Or 50. Kc2!) with zugzwang. Black can only move the king, but then they leave the field g5 and the white will have other checks. For example, 51. ... Kg4 52. a6 e3 53. a7 e2 54. a8Q e1Q 55.Qf3 + and win.
