Hi all ! My name is Spyros Sfikas and I live in Nafpaktos - Greece. I love playing chess by the sea with my 88 year old chessmate named Panos, and listening to his funny quotes:

<" If you ever learn how to play chess, I'll let you know...">

<Check out an interesting 3 min game: >

spysfi: Kamsky-Dominguez 1-0 after a Monday puzzle blunder. Press conference now on air.

spysfi: <@clancho>Didn't see anybody laughing in the video where Naka blundered. I also think that especially Sasha show sympathy and understanding. Maybe I'm wrong (or just another Naka fanatic)...

   Aug-25-12 Nikolaos Kalesis

spysfi: A great chess talent and guy. He gave a big simultan (more than 30 local players) in Nafpaktos-Greece yesterday. And of course he crushed me...

Aug-01-12 Nakamura vs Wang Hao, 2012 (replies)

spysfi: From my point of view, Nakamura followed a well scheduled plan and it is a pity that he went completely wrong in move 32. Nd2 ? Ι think that if they could play 100 games starting from any game position between moves e.g. 14-31, Nakamura takes 95... or at least he should if he ...

   May-15-12 Nakamura vs Y Shulman, 2012 (replies)

spysfi: It's ok... Naka wants to play for the win.

   Jan-12-12 Hikaru Nakamura (replies)

spysfi: Naka can make +3, +1 or even -1 . It depends on his approach to the tournament rather than his opponents abilities. This young American is as talented as Magnus, but has to work and stay focused in order to make everybody believe in his chess genius. GO NAKAZILLA !!

Dec-09-11 Anand vs Nakamura, 2011 (replies)

spysfi: So, Bronkenstein, don't you think that speaking about "objective" evaluation (arguing about "truth" and ability to measure as in particle physics), is a little bit more complicated than this kibitzing ... in such a chaotic system as chess?
