suenteus po 147: <Benzol> Thanks, Paul! I hope this means I'll be able to spend more time on chess, but I won't know for sure for another year. Job market is in the toilet right now, so it looks like for the foreseeable future I will be teaching part-time, which means I'll be extremely busy teaching enough sections to support myself.

<jessicafischerqueen> Thank you, Jess! I do feel good, and it's getting better the longer it sinks in that I'm done.

<hms123> Thanks! What did you complete your terminal degree in?

Apr-28-12  King Death: <suenteus po 147>, just a word of thanks. In my 6 months as a member there've been a lot of times that my tired old brain gets this crazy idea that it remembers something or other and I look at the game collections at the bottom of a page and very often I see your name. Thanks for all of the hard work that you've done, it's a whale of a service to CG users for sure!

suenteus po 147: <hms123> Thank you for your offer, Howard! I meant to respond sooner, but I was actually consumed by events away from the internet. The good news is that all my hard work has paid off. I am now employed for the next academic year! I have managed to be selected for a post-doctoral fellowship that will start in mid-August, and is renewable for up to three years. I cannot say what a huge relief it is to know I have a job come the fall.

<King Death> Thank you for your words of appreciation. It always means a lot to me when a fellow chessgames user has made use of one of my game collections. I'm always appreciative of others who compile and detail the history of chess and its players, so it is very gratifying that I have managed to give back in some small way. I hope you continue to find my collections of use to you!

<WannaBe> I have been aware of numbers on GK, but I think if we played today and more often your score would definitely improve. I haven't been as attentive to my game as I used to be in a long time now, and with all the playing you've done, you've improved quite a bit. Any time you want a game, just send me a challenge ;)
