Feb-26-08 Alekhine vs Flohr, 1931 (replies)

tdubb43: I missed yesterday but got this in about 5 seconds.

Dec-18-07 Dunbar vs Chawkin, 1925 (replies)

tdubb43: I love when castling can be used as an offensive tactic, seems like it's always queenside castling too when it's offensive.

   Sep-20-07 Emms vs V Tukmakov, 1996 (replies)

tdubb43: That e4 knight is lethal! What a killer move, never saw it coming.

   Sep-01-07 I Madl vs D Summermatter, 1988 (replies)

tdubb43: It would make a great Monday or Tuesday puzzle to use this game at 21 white to play.

   Aug-07-07 Carlsen vs H Harestad, 2003 (replies)

tdubb43: If you all truly think this is an easy puzzle, I would be very scared to play any of you in chess. It takes some serious ability to easily forsee the g5 h5 pawn wall that allows for the obscure mate.

   Aug-06-07 E Schallopp vs R Hein, 1868 (replies)

tdubb43: Isn't 24...bxd3 a blunder? Wouldn't 24...axb6 be a pretty solid move?

   Aug-03-07 N Legky vs L Totsky, 1995 (replies)

tdubb43: Excellent puzzle. I missed it, but great puzzle nonetheless.

   Aug-02-07 Dreev vs L Dominguez, 2005 (replies)

tdubb43: At move 32, the game is technically tied at 20 points apiece. However, the positional advantage is so overwhelmingly in favor of white that black is either insane or being a sore loser for continuing at this point. I would feel like a kid in a candy store if I were playing white ...

   Jul-31-07 Capablanca vs B H Villegas, 1914 (replies)

tdubb43: syracrophy: Thanks for the reply. I understand it better than I did before, but still don't entirely get it. Maybe if I looked it over on a board I'd get it, but I don't have the time. Thanks, though.

   Jul-31-07 K B Richardson vs D Andreev, 1977 (replies)

tdubb43: Whenever I miss a puzzle this easy I just have to remind myself that even Kramnik couldn't recognize a simple pattern when he played that computer and missed the mate-in-one. I got yesterday's puzzle in about 5 seconds, but this was just a foreign concept to me. I bet I'd solve a ...
