from what i've tasted of desire

i trust the world will end in Fire

- but if it had to perish twice -

to say that for destruction ICE

is also great and would suffice

< < < < < < < <> > > > > > > >

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood

looked down one - as far as i could

then took the other, as just as fair,

'cause it was grassy & wanted wear

BOTH that morning - equally lay

... kept the first for another day

i shall be telling this with a sigh

I took the one less traveled by.

< < < < < < < <> > > > > > > >

the time: is neither wrong nor right

been one - acquainted with the night

whose woods these are, i think i know

his house is in the village though

He will not see me stopping here

to watch his woods fill up with snow

my little horse must think it queer

to stop without a farmhouse near

between the woods and frozen lake

the darkest evening of the year

he gives his harness bells a shake

to ask if there is some mistake

the only other soundís the sweep

of easy wind and downy flake

The Woods .... are lovely, dark, and deep,

- - - - but i have promises to keep - - - -

& miles to go before i sleep & miles to go..

< < < < < < < <> > > > > > > >

It went many years,
but at last came a knock
& i - though of the door
with no lock to lock

So .... at a knock,
i emptied my cage
to hide in the world
and alter with age
