thegoodanarchist: <You could make the case that <al-ways boring> is a younger and somewhat improved version of <tuna>, but not much improved, and I've seen no evidence that <al-ways boring> can put his blinding, radical, ultra left wing bias in check and subsequently admit, freely, that he's changed a worldview position.>

Let us use the term "determinism" to describe <aw>'s world view. I don't know what the official name is.

But he says that we don't have free will, basically. That our actions/choices/beliefs are from conditioning or chemical reactions, and has even used the analogy of a paramecium to describe human action.

So either he is nihilistic, with the attitude that he can't change anyway, so why bother?

Or else he is subconsciously using "determinism" as an excuse to maintain a radical, ultra left wing stance in the face of contradictory data.

And yesterday he freely admitted that all politicians are con artists, to an extent. Yet he still maintains he would vote Beelzebub over Trump.

Well, if they are all con artists, why not maintain intellectual integrity and write in Beelzebub instead of voting for HRC?

And the answer is very simple - it is emotionally driven. He wants to hate on Trump, so he "justifies" his attitude with his supposed world view. But on the other hand he immediately violates said world view to vote for HRC.

A "new and improved <classical Democrat>" is probably what I should've said.

I shouldn't have likened anyone to <Jim Bartle> as he is simply going insane. He really thinks that Mueller is going to announce all sorts of charges against Trump for dozens of financial crimes across the planet pretty much any day now, even though Mueller's team has no expertise in these matters and his team hasn't visited any of these places or requested records from them.

His brain isn't functioning at all.

Someone should give him the message from President Obama:

<There is no serious person out there who would suggest that you can even rig America's elections...

There is no evidence that that has happened in the past, or that there are instances that that could happen this time>

- President Barrack Obama, October 2016

offramp: BP TGA morf Jim Bobster(?). Who are these freaks?

I am trying to find out the answer to this pub quiz question:

"Q4: What did John Barleycorn say to Morfishine?"

I cannot find the answer anywhere.

Premium Chessgames Member
morfishine: <thegoodanarchist> Your explanation regarding <porta-jon barleycorn> is too simple. Its not a matter of me liking or not liking his "hilarious jokes". I like a good joke just like anybody

However, the issues regarding <cornhole> go back 2 years+ when he attacked a number of members who eventually left altogether due to his boorish, obnoxious behavior. I stood up for these members and when <porta-jon barleycorn> attacked me, he bit off more than he can chew. I won't be intimidated, I won't be pushed around, I won't be bullied by some cyber-pussy

which is all he is

heh - <morf> makes it sound SO SEXY!

Thanks for the explanation.

Now I feel like Obi Wan Kenobi in Star Wars, when he got the R2 unit to play the hologram message from Leia, where Luke Skywalker (<offramp>) could not.

I can dream, can't I?

morfishine: <thegoodanarchist> I finished 'Shadow Divers' and it is an excellent book. I've always been interested in WWII submarine warfare so to also be exposed to deep sea diving was an extra bonus.

This was a grueling affair trying to identify this sub. The short diving season and difficulty of diving this 230 foot deep wreck presented a most dangerous and challenging task. Three divers died during the 6 year odyssey.

The author handled the relationships aspect very well, whether it was spouses, friends, business partners or acquaintances.

The ending was simply terrific as the author brilliantly tied everything together. Once the divers had succeeded in identifying the sub, they had one more task: Physically notifying all relatives of the 56 men lost on the sub to inform them the sub was not lost off of Africa but was sunk off of New Jersey. This meant traveling to Germany and driving all over the country meeting brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, sons and daughters of crewman (and 1 actual crewman who survived since he missed this ill-fated cruise due to being sick).

A very touching ending

Roissy is good or whatever, but when those nerds on there start talking about the "negging" and stuff you can tell that they've never been around 3-dimensional women.

They'll read something on a manosphere/PUA site and then (literally) run right down to a bar or grocery store to "implement" their new technique. Seeing some of the posts on those sites is hilarious.

Everyone is different. I am sure there is a fraction of the female population susceptible to "negging", if you do it right.

Probably most of them live in Kentucky or Tennessee.

My game is much more focused on positive social proofs, such as professional job, high salary (5-figures a month), sartorial acumen, esoteric cultural taste (e.g., jazz music), high intelligence, good humor, and weightlifting.

I will leave the negging to the experts and idiots.

Premium Chessgames Member
Big Pawn: I don't get into all that PUA stuff at all. I just like how that group of guys are so uncucked. They are red pilled and that's what counts. There some overlap between the alt-right, the manosphere guys, nationalists and Christian conservatives. Each group is like a circle - think ven diagrams. Each group has its own center, but they overlap significantly, and I find myself in that overlap. There are things about each group that I don't identify with, and that keeps me from being, say, altogether in with the alt-right for instance or the PUA types, but the red pill crossover area is good.

The common ground is very good.
