Great game of the day quote- "I concede, clearly now Therain is gone" hahahahahahahahah

tintin: No idea, it does seem to be to be a bit early to resign, but i have probably missed something important.

tintin: <but the most memorable one remains the delightfully awful "I concede clearly now; Therien is gone" in Yanofsky vs J Therien, 1947.> I totally agree! I hadn't seen that one before but it is brilliant. My vote goes to it for sure!

tintin: Yeah, his opening idea 3.Bb5 wasn't a bad idea except for the fact that ..3.Nd4 refutes it ;) GO THE BIRD!

tintin: Fake or not it is still funny!

   Dec-05-05 Gary W Lane (replies)

tintin: Yes, he has been knocked out, what a shame. But at least the SOCCEROOS are in the WORLD CUP, hooray! I love your message <Phoenix>, "Go Gary, go!", Classic! (or perhaps you haven't seen the ad and it wasn't supposed to be a joke?)

tintin: <WannaBe>- this page is FIDE world cup not FIFA World Cup, i assume that is what you are talking about!?!

   Nov-27-05 S Uesugi vs D Tasdelen, 2005

   Nov-22-05 Vienna Game (C27) (replies)

tintin: <bishop: I think I remember reading a comment By Alekhine that said that yes ..nxe4 refutes the Vienna game.> If you don't want to play against that line as white, play e4 Bc4 d3 and THEN Nc3, when you usually have exactly the same position as the alternative move order except ...

Nov-22-05 Gelfand vs Anand, 1993 (replies)

tintin: <Larsker> i am quite a bit late, but that book you refer to is one of the best game collections i have ever read! I recommend it to everyone.
