triangulation: Meanwhile Aronian notches up the first win. Now, things should get very interesting. congrats to Aronian.

triangulation: I usually don't get saturdays, but let me try.... 59. Kf6 looks the best move at a glance. It threatens mate as well as clears the path of the e pawn. 59 ... Ke8 (if Kg8 then Rg7+ picking up the g pawn; if Ra6+ then e6 threatening mate and Rxb4 will follow) 60. e6 Kd8 61. e7+

triangulation: <al wazir: 67...Ra4. Now what? How does white finish? I see 68. Kd3 Rf4 69. Ke3 Ra4 70. Kf3 Ra3+ 71. Kf4 Ra4+ 72. Kg3 Ra3+ 73. Kh4 Ra1 74. Rxh7 Rh1+ 75. Kg3 Rg1+ 76. Kf3 Rf1+ 77. Kg2 Rf4 78. Kg3 Kg5. I don't seem to be making much progress. There must be a better way.> ...

triangulation: Wrong again lol. though in hindsight i had seen that variation, dismissed it as winning and forgotten about it. :)

Aug-15-12 Tan Zhongyi vs V Cmilyte, 2011 (replies)

triangulation: Ok i came up with: 40 Rg8+ Kh7 41 R2g7+ Qxg7 42 Rxg7+ Kxg7 43. Qe6 after which one of the black rooks will fall. Eg: 43 ...Rxc7 44. Qe5+ 43 ... Rf8 44. Qe7+ I think this wins.

triangulation: nice to see a pun referring to an Indian dish. put a smile on my face.

   Feb-17-11 U Boensch vs K Litkiewicz, 1974 (replies)

triangulation: Ok so maybe Qa2 doesn't win after all. I liked that one better. Might have gone for that in my own game. so i give myself zero today.

   Feb-05-11 D Kontic vs G M Todorovic, 1992 (replies)

triangulation: I think rxh5 followed by ne4 should win this for white. Time to check.
