viky: u feel really sad after reading his interview.. If he really is going to retire from serious chess it will be really unfotunate for chess :(
   Nov-04-09 Nenarokov vs A A Smorodsky, 1924 (replies)
viky: 29 Qb4+, Qc5 30 Rc1 now if Qxb4 31 Rxc8+ Be8 32 Rxe8+# 30 ... Bc4 31 Rxc4 b6 32 Rxc5 bxc5 33 Qb7 and Qf7 mate can not be averted
   Mar-02-09 N Sakr vs Ali Atwi, 2001 (replies)
viky: Oh.. I meant black queen falls.. 30 ... Nxd6
   Feb-04-09 Klovans vs O A Kalinin, 1986 (replies)
viky: I missed the simple Nxg2 move!!
   Feb-03-09 M R Kaldegg vs G Zeissl, 1903 (replies)
viky: Quite simply -> 15 Qe8+ Kxe8 16 Bb5+ king can go to Kd8 or Kf8 and Re8+#
   Jan-26-09 N Firman vs Areshchenko, 2008 (replies)
viky: indeed very easy one 18 Qxc8, Qxc8 19 Nxe7+ Kh8 20 Nxc8 Rxc8 leaves white a piece up
   Jan-25-09 Corus (2009) (replies)
viky: It seems to me that Short will not be able to hold it together.. What does computers have to say about this game? Is it a draw?
   Jan-22-09 R Biolek vs Oral, 1997 (replies)
viky: There was a flaw in my analysis after 30... Rxg1+ 31 Kxg1 Bxh2? 32 Qxh2 Rg6+ 33 Ng2 simple defence for white.. 31... Rg6 is necessary
   Jan-20-09 Larsen vs P Large, 1986 (replies)
viky: Oh.. I did not see Bishop on b2! that is bad.. because the continuation of Rxg7 does not work anymore.. I am not sure but black is just one pawn down after Rxf7 Qe8 and now we can not play Rd7 ..
   Jan-19-09 R Rubenchik vs Ashley, 2000 (replies)
viky: okay this is how it goes.. 30... Rxd1! if 31 Rxd1 Rf2+# if 31 Rxd2 Rxd2 Now white is piece down but it is not over yet! if white tries to save with 32 Rf1 Ra1! now the threat is Nd2+ which forks rook there is no use of moving king because 33 Kf4 g4 if 34 Ke5 Rd2! and no way to escape
