Mar-29-13 Carlsen vs Ivanchuk, 2013 (replies)

vkwow: Nice game by Ivanchuk

   Mar-24-13 G Negyesy vs K Honfi, 1955 (replies)

vkwow: Qxa2 Nxa2 Rd1+ Nc1- white wins

Dec-03-12 Wang Hao vs Caruana, 2012

vkwow: hao seems to have american players' number... Caruana is Italian-American, and then Nakamura, Kamsky. Wow.

Nov-20-12 World Youth Championship (2012) (replies)

vkwow: <hemateme> from what I remember correctly(having played before) the top prize is a dual core laptop. Still not that much, considering the expenses and that most regular tourneys pay out more in value.

   Sep-28-12 Radjabov vs G Jones, 1997 (replies)

vkwow: <JohnBoy> at the World youth, the requirement is you can't have turned 10 before the start of the year.(Jan 1) So, Radjabov was eligible, as he was born in March.

Sep-08-12 Nakamura vs Kramnik, 2012 (replies)

vkwow: <Jimfromprovidence>, are you so sure that that final ending is a difficult win? It takes a lot of moves, but white can support the pawn, bring his king up, and win the bishop for a pawn, getting a king bishop and knight vs.king which is elementary in the top level.

   Aug-31-12 Pentala Harikrishna (replies)

vkwow: He breaks the 2700 club!!!

   Jun-18-12 Tarjan vs R Henley, 1984 (replies)

vkwow: If you press "pgn download",the game which comes up is tarjan vs. khenkin, as mentioned by Phony Benoni.

   Jun-11-12 L Lane vs N Gaprindashvili, 1961 (replies)

vkwow: I think time trouble is a very unlikely reason for the draw , considering that there are only 3 moves till the time control, and all the moves require zero thinking up until then. Black can simply wait and take action after the time control is reached.

May-15-12 Gelfand vs Anand, 2012 (replies)

vkwow: Anand would kill Gelfand in rapid, for he is the much better player in this format. Against Kamsky, for instance, Gelfand blundered a queen, and the only reason he advanced was because Kamsky missed another tactic in the next game(which Anand would have definitely seen)
