| hangingenprise: phillies in 6 |
Oct-27-09
| whiskeyrebel: WannaBe, I've been out of town and away from my computer, but was watching every minute of the games. I'm thrilled about the beers..yeehawwww! |
Oct-27-09
| whiskeyrebel: hangingenprise, I hope you're right..man I hate the Yankees. The series could be tough to watch at times. My loved ones will have to restrain me physically or put a screen in front of my TV. |

| dakgootje: <hangingenprise: phillies in 6> You could get a nice price at the bookies with that prediction; at least +500 :P Got a feeling it will be yankees in 7 though. |

| A.G. Argent: Phils in 6? Hell, Jimmy Rollins says Phils in 5! Even said it on Leno. Stir it up, James. |
| Oct-28-09 |
| hangingenprise: lee is in a zone!! |
| Oct-28-09 |
| hangingenprise: utley just joined lee |
Oct-28-09
| whiskeyrebel: Wow, great game. Lee was awesome. Lots of empty seats in the 8th inning. I guess the fans didn't have faith they'd see any (barf) "Yankee magic". |
| Oct-29-09 |
| hangingenprise: just a beautiful pitched game by lee.
that is what i like about baseball
than you did not have to be restrained
during the game?! |
Oct-29-09
| whiskeyrebel: Not this game, I smiled and relaxed throughout. I'm hoping for a similar game tonight since I'm watching it at my Sons place and he doesn't like folks to throw objects at his fancy TV. Two in a row in NYC might be too much even for the Phillies though. |

| whiskeyrebel: By the way, I really stunk it up at the Western States open. Yes, I played up a section, but I usually do so with better results. I didn't drop any material and I always found a way to make each game a battle of sorts, but I completely froze up on my opening prep on move 6 in 2 games. That's like forgetting how to fry an egg. I'd feel worse about it, but I have a couple of excuses. The tournament was at the end of a 2 week trip and I missed my usual home preperation. I was very pre-occupied with relatives. I met my blood father for the first time even. A stronger player at the event advised me that after 2 years of "playing up" it's time to play in my own section for once and "cash in" on rating points and perhaps a prize. I have a huge xmas event in mind. HHmmm. |
| Oct-30-09 |
| hangingenprise: or you can keep wagering with wannabe and continue to stock up on your winnings for a xmas event. howard has to uncork his bat and start hitting. |
Oct-31-09
| whiskeyrebel: I like Howard. I understand he played tuba in high school. I have faith he'll crack a few still this series. |
| Oct-31-09 |
| hangingenprise: o yea! howard is in philly to stay his
entire career |
| Oct-31-09 |
| Jim Bartle: "..he doesn't like folks to throw objects at his fancy TV." He's lucky Howard Cosell is long gone, then. But he might not want to invite me if Brent Musburger is calling the game. |
Nov-02-09
| whiskeyrebel: A bad day for baseball. Oh well, as promised I checked out the Houston Texan's today and was impressed. |
| Nov-02-09 |
| hangingenprise: well....dang
number 27 for the yankees and some more hall of famers from the yanks! |
| Nov-02-09 |
| hangingenprise: even though there is a good football game tonight, i am watching the ball game. well, i take a look now and than. |
Nov-03-09
| whiskeyrebel: I watched the whole game. Whether the Phillies pull it out or not, I'd like to say thank you to them for a great season. If they take it one game at a time they might pull it off. We'll see. Maybe a couple bats besides Utley's will wake up. |
| Nov-05-09 |
| hangingenprise: wait till next year! |
Nov-05-09
| whiskeyrebel: Yeah, I'm not gonna bellyache about my team reaching game 6 of the WS. Spring training is just around the corner. Meanwhile we have the Texans. |
| Nov-05-09 |
| hangingenprise: the phillies are in good shape. they need a strong reliever and that is it as far as i can tell. o yea, they will get rid of that pitcher that needed a new season, so they will need another starter.
my dodgers,well they need everything!
i always like kubiak as a coach and the organization are making sound draft choices, and they are a very
young team. look at the browns who
are stuck with mangini. ouch! |
| Nov-07-09 |
| hangingenprise: the texans have a good shot at a win sunday. this will tell if the team can compete at the upper levels |
Nov-07-09
| whiskeyrebel: I'm looking forward to it. Last week I liked their simple, confident way of comporting themselves between plays as opposed to the Bills non-stop chest bumping and celebration. |
| Nov-08-09 |
| hangingenprise: well, they had their shot. |
