WannaBe: Kings wallop'd them Boston Bruins last night 9-2, what is really strange is that nine different players scored goal for LA. http://espn.go.com/nhl/boxscore?gam... With 9 goals scored, you'd think someone had a hat trick, or two goals scored. But nope!

Yeah, the insistence on running between the tackles by both sides is a real mystery.

WannaBe: Repeat after me (and Gregg Easterbrook, of TMQ), defence wins championships, offense wins game.

Remember Seattle/Denver two years ago, and Rams/New England, and Bears/New England.

WannaBe: I'm sorry, but she gave an horrible speech, and Elway was brief but to the point.

Kubiak was politically correct, and Von Miller have just signed with the Raaaaiders, a la Larry Brown.

Feb-07-16  Jim Bartle: Rules question: Is the quarterback permitted to wear one of those dark visor over his face. I would think that be an advantage.

WannaBe: I believe all players are allowed to wear the visor, if any, of their choice.

I noticed different variations of helmets worn by both teams, personal preference.

Feb-08-16  Jim Bartle: <I believe all players are allowed to wear the visor, if any, of their choice.>

But I have never seen a QB wear one of those dark visor where you can't see his face.

Now maybe they limit vision a little, so the QB can't see the field as well.

But it would seem to be a big advantage when DBs and linebackers can't look at his eyes on pass plays. It would add to the deception.

WannaBe: <Jim Bartle> After some googling, I found out that in order to wear tinted/darken visor, you must have medical clearance.

If you want to wear clear visor, go ahead.

Feb-08-16  Jim Bartle: Interesting. Thanks.

technical draw: Joshua Bell is famous for finishing a concerto with half of the bow hairs gone. Great Tchaikovsky!

technical draw: It's rare that an audience applauds between movements but in the Tchaikovsky above the audience breaks out in a huge applause for Perlman after the first movement.
