In 1979, Branko Damjlanovic was the Yugoslav junior champion. He tied for the Yugoslav championship in 1989 and 1990 and won it in 1991 and 2001 (jointly). At the 1996 Chess Olympiad, he was awarded the bronze medal for the best individual performance at board 2. In 2006, he won the Championship of Serbia and Montenegro.
Placed 1st in Graz 1987, 1st in Nea Makri Zonal 1990, 13th in Manila Interzonal 1990, 1st in Belgrad 1992, 1st in Saragossa 1993, 1st in A Coruña 1996, 1st in Vila Real de Santo António 1998, 1st in Nikolic Memorial (Belgrade) 2000, 1st in Frascati 2006, 64th in European Ch 2007, 1st in Granada Chess Festival 2007, 6th in Serbian Championship in May 2010. Also won the Paracin Open (Serbia) 9-16 July 2010.

He had a high of FIDE 2625 and played in the EICC 2009 and scored +4-4=3. Finally, one of my favorite books is "Yugoslav Chess Triumphs" by Trifunovic 1976 and I like doing research.|
